How practice trading works

Buying uses practice cash. Pending buys reserve money; pending sells reserve shares. You can cancel before the eligible session starts. Once a session starts, it must be checked before cancellation takes effect.

A limit order sets the most you will pay when buying, or the least you will accept when selling. Our daily simulation assumes a fill when that day's range reaches your limit; a real brokerage fill is not guaranteed.

We use average cost to track profit and loss. There are no fees in this version. Splits adjust shares and cost per share. Dividends receive a simulated cash credit on the ex-date; actual payment may be later.

Prices may be delayed. Missing prices are marked unavailable and are never treated as zero. This account is separate from your real investments.

Daily prices · zero simulated fees · no brokerage connection

Your current attempt will be archived with its history. Your new attempt starts with $10,000. Orders whose session has already begun must be checked first.
